When I purchase AlphaStar@Home, what am I buying?
When you purchase the AlphaStar@Home system we will install all the hardware required. This includes a wireless radio which acts like a "wireless modem", an antenna and the cable to connect your existing computer.

What does my computer need to use the AlphaStar@Home System?
You can use almost any computer that is Internet/Networkable. We recommend that the operating system be Microsoft Windows 95 or above or Mac OS 7.51 or above. You also need an Ethernet Card (NIC) or with some new systems a USB port.

Is the Installation Complicated?
No, the installation is quick and easy and is performed by our professional team of experienced installers.

Do I need to install a satellite dish?
No, Since our network is a hybrid system (comprised of many different technologies), all you need is the small antenna.. This antenna can usually be blended into the natural features of your house or business.

What about my notebook or laptop?
We use a PC Card to connect your notebook or laptop to our system. The AlphaStar@Home system provides mobility for your notebook or laptop within the range of our service. Imagine using your notebook pool-side!

Can I use the AlphaStar@Home service on multiple computer systems?
Yes, but the signal must terminate to a device with a valid MAC address, such as a computer, router or other similar device.
