The AlphaStar Network supports almost all IP and data networking capabilities including primary Internet access, virtual private networking (VPN), network redundancy, multicasting, video conferencing and VOD (video on demand).  The AlphaStar network is totally Internet Protocol (IP) based and is designed to use only standard protocols and interfaces. This adherence to industry standards enables AlphaStar to provide an affordable, reliable, and easy-to-use connection for both subscribers and service partners.

A wide variety of data rates and networking services are supported. The remote terminal consists of a small satellite dish and the AlphaStar Access Point. The access point connects into your network just like an internet router or server.
